This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, primarily 0830-1700, Monday through Friday. However, at times the MA will start at 0745 to cover PPL and/or vacancies. The primary work location is our Milwaukee campus; on rare occasions, the MA will float to New Berlin and/or Mequon to cover critical staffing shortages.
The Medical Assistant serves as an integral member of the Pain & Headache team. They support and assist our team of three physicians, four nurse practitioners, four psychologists and two nurses. Our MAs are responsible for both direct and indirect patient care needs which include, but are not limited to: checking in patients, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, providing report to the care team, scheduling follow up appointments, medication reconciliation, prescription refills, prior authorizations, school forms, etc. This role is split approximately 50/50 with indirect and direct patient care tasks.
