STV is currently looking for an energetic, creative and detail-orientedEntry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialistfor our Charlotte office utility team. We need professionals that enjoy being given responsibility as part of a team-based approach. The candidate will be receiving tasks from senior project managers and working alongside junior staff members for successful project production and execution.

Here are some great examples of the projects our utility team designs:

You will be responsible for design and plan production on various water and sewer projects with some construction observation to provide a well-rounded experience while contributing to a growing market. (GIS experience is beneficial.) The experience will be entry level with relevant Internship experience or a 1-2 year experienced engineering Specialist with prior work in water and sewer design. You will have the opportunity to grow your career in water/sewer, including experience working on water distribution, wastewater collection and water/sewer system modeling. Responsibilities include water/sewer relocation design, cost estimates, technical reports, coordination of design and production activities with other disciplines. We also value field experience where engineers can see their designs constructed and take that experience back to the design table.

Required Skills:

  • BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Previous Internship experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of NCDOT methods and procedures a plus
  • Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Excellent verbal, organization and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Compensation Range:

$55,690.00 - $74,254.00
