Your schedule:

1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

What you will accomplish as a Production Material Handler at TAPCO:

Ensuring the accuracy of inventory and completion of cycle counting of raw materials and finished products. This position will assist the manufacturing staff by pulling components required for production to allow them to get orders produced on time. He or she will also keep a well-maintained and organized warehouse by putting and picking products in the correct location and record in the inventory control software program (WMS). This position reports to the Department Manager. This position's main location is on the production floor and not an office position.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Relocate materials to the proper locations
  2. Performs accurate cycle counts of inventory daily
  3. Creates new locations for new products or existing products that have outgrown existing locations
  4. Updates accurate locations of products using software control program (WMS), Microsoft NAV
  5. Label each location with product info, item number, description, and location
  6. Reports inventory shortages, overages, and defective products promptly
  7. Picks parts not located in work centers for manufacturing to produce finished products
  8. Assures all finished goods and raw materials are stored in an organized and maintained warehouse
  9. Keeps work areas and warehouse clean and orderly
  10. Follows all safety regulations and enforces safety policies, reports safety concerns to superiors promptly
  11. Learns Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles and practice them daily
  12. Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of inventory control in a warehouse environment
  • Computer database experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a team-based environment and independently
  • Prior experience lifting up to 50 pounds
