Primary Responsibilities

In the role of the Civil EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

  • Work under project engineers on the application of various engineering design and analysis tasks in the development of water resources projects for federal, state and local municipalities
  • Focus on civil layout of flood reduction and surface water related features, surface water analysis and modeling, data collection, assimilation, and technical writing
  • Focus on projects including surface water conveyance, detention ponds, dams, levees, and other heavy civil design features
  • Produce construction documents, design calculations, and technical reports
  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard software, including: Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms, ArcGIS.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, and ability to work both independently and with dynamic teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments successfully.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
  • 2 years of industry experience.
  • Professional experience or educational specialization in CAD-based design and construction document development.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
  • Water resources modeling software such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is a plus.
